Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

The market is never wrong. People don't care for the D5 and that is why they never sold in meaningful numbers. From the "sitting in a bathtub" seating position to the cheap one piece liftgate LR flubbed it.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

Rather than replacing timing chains etc you can just get a crate Chevy 572 CI. Weird. Link Below is to the Chevy performance page. https://www.chevrolet.com/performance-parts/crate-engines/big-block/zz-572-720-r

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

The Toyota 5.7L is rock solid. I would take it or the GM 6.2L in a heartbeat over the LR 5.0L. Making similar power with more cubic inches is not a bad thing. Under stressed.

Careful jumping into bed with Toyota's TTV6. Lots of spun bearings and complete engine failures surfacing..

    2016 LR4 Dead... need help!

I don't believe your other vehicles listed have smart alternators while the LR4 does (in an effort to improve FI). My LR3 is fine but the LR4 if subjected to short trips with heavy e-loads (windshield, 2-4 heated seats, heated steering wheel) does not keep the battery at 100%. It will eventually...

Uhh careful. Rapid charging can cause off gassing and explosions.

    2016 LR4 Dead... need help!

These batteries need regular trickle charging. The smart alternator does not keep the voltage up

Greasy transmission, should I be worried?

BTW. Thanks to Rover Range hanging around these forums. Having an actual JLR technician around is gold. GOLD!

Could have fixed that with a felt marker in 10 seconds.

    Lr4 Brakes

There is a VIN split on rear brakes for the 2010s although I believe it has more to do with pad thickness

Greasy transmission, should I be worried?

Unless that greasy mess is hitting the ground I would ignore it and run a high mileage oil to see if that will swell the seal enough to stop the leak.

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

Yes. A brittle filter cartridge o-ring can cause a leak down the front mimicking a vacuum/valve cover leak.

Cable hanging down (damaged) from my rear passenger wheel well (Update: Resolved!)

In all reality if you look at your wheels 1-2 times a year these sensors are not needed. Just added complexity and cost.

Are your third row seats a different colour than row 1&2?

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

Great. Try the Mobil1 EP high mileage version and see if that stops the leaking/weeping. Cheap option before committing to surgery.

how about a high mileage oil?

2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE- Thinking about buying, does the engine sound right? https://youtu.be/wqjUb-qWbxE

The writing was on the wall for Jaguar. The special edition "performance" sedans were not refined enough to handle the German beasts and the Luxury cruisers were nowhere near the refinement/durability level of Lexus. The got hammered on both ends.

2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE- Thinking about buying, does the engine sound right? https://youtu.be/wqjUb-qWbxE

Nothing wrong with the Jags but you can really see/feel/experience that they didn't have the $$$ or the engineering prowess of the Germans when developing their cars. What is surprising is how well the LR3 came out although it did need to be reworked (LR4) to sort all of the quirks. Then they...

Looking for thoughts on leak under engine block

If stock it could be your LCA hydro bushings giving up the ghost. They are oil filled. Need to get on the ground and get some pics. Feel around with your hands, it's the Land Rover Experience. :)

    Oil filter cap

It's the bypass valve in case the filter gets clogged the pressure will depress the spring and your engine will still get oil flow. Dirty oi is better than no oil. Wix, Mahle or Mann for me. Never used a Delco so dunno.
