    becoming collectible

Wow. Not looking to sell mine, and mine has more surface rust on the chassis, but my 58k-mile "last of the V8's" 2013 with the HD pkg may still be worth a decent chunk.

    Tech inspection failed

Weird. Having done that job myself recently, all I can think of is that maybe it was damaged during install. Maybe only mildly at the time, but with time and thermal cycles it got worse?

My 2012 LR4 is not starting anymore, help please

Buy a new battery. If it fixes that problem, that was it. If it doesn't, return it.

    2016 LR4 Dead... need help!

Glad it is resolved. Yet another instance of weird things happening relating to the battery. A new battery will always be my first solution unless the battery is newer than 2 years. I don't care what GAP or voltmeters say.

Front Control Arm Replacement on LR4 and saw a warning light come on

I can't help you. But for reference, I recently did the front LCA's, hubs, and did a full front brake job. No codes. I took it to get aligned at the dealer and that was that.

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

Well, I don't want to say they were trying to scam me but I looked at the LR4 with as many lumens as could reasonably be produced and I cannot find any trace of any leak whatsoever.

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

Yeah, definitely. Thanks. It's definitely a minor leak. No dops of oil in the garage.

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

I've always run either the OE Castrol or Mobil or Castrol Extended Performance synthetic oils. I would certainly first try to seal from the outside if I can get away with it.

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?

Well, finally dropped off the LR4 (2013 with under 60k miles and meticulously maintained) and the dealer for the gas collar recall, and as part of their free multi-point inspection, found that "the front timing covers need to be resealed driver side cover is leaking oil and passenger side is...

    Radiator Replacement

Also, FYI, I accidentally bought an extra one of those vacuum fill kits. Brand new in box. I am willing to sell at a discount.

    Radiator Replacement

I've been dragging my feet for almost 2 years on preemptively replacing all things relating to cooling (pipes, t-stat, pump), but I was not planning on including the radiator. Should I? I have a 2013 with 57k miles.

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

Well, I'm fortunate in that we average under 5k miles per year for the past few years and now have even more cars, so hopefully even with a somewhat premature issue at 80k miles I still have 5+ years. We'll see what seems like the right move when and if it happens, but the LR4 is otherwise...

There may be nothing you can do... P0016

Interesting. I have a 2013 with "low miles" at 57k, but with a late build date of July 2013 I always figured I didn't have to worry about he chain issue. I'd love to know what happened with a well-maintained 2013.

    Highest mileage LR4?

Interesting. That’s the closest comp to my LR4 I’ve seen in a while. I have a 2013 Lux that I ordered new with the rear locker with a meticulous history and only 57k miles. Car is in excellent condition in and out, but it has lived in New England its whole life.

    Failed emissions - no faults

I wanted to circle back and close the loop. I bought a new battery, reset all codes and drove the car for a while. We took it to Canada and put close to 900 miles on the new battery. It passed with no problems. IMO, chalk this one up to yet another electrical gremling caused by an aging battery...
