Is it a leaking passenger side valve cover gasket?
The sides near the exhaust manifold get hard and brittle and start leaking. That far into it, I'd replace both passenger and drivers valve cover gaskets. May as well do the spark plugs and PCV on the passenger valve cover too since that will go soon at some point Remove the plastic... -

Question for anyone who has done the Valve Cover Gaskets on their V8 LR4
Did not pull air conditioning lines. Removed bolts from brackets holding them in place to help them move a little. Drivers side rear injector is the hardest one to get out as its hard to get perfect alignment with the injector removal tool. -

Pulling injectors for valve cover gasket, can I avoid it?
Pull injectors. Drivers side rear most was the hardest/awkward. Make sure you do not pinch the gasket! Creates a vacuum leak if the gasket is not on right and throws codes. I got to do my passenger side twice! Did it in less than a hour the second time LOL. -

I checked connectors when I got back home (removed, inspect, reseat) cleared codes and it came right back. Everything appears seated and not loose. I guess Im just lucky :) -

Rotor wear advice
I was in the automotive industry way back and I've never seen real bedding in done. Time is money. Do brakes, quick drive and feel the petal. If its nice and firm after a couple of stops, its good to go. Get back, do another quick visual and get to the next job. So my guess is most shops arent... -

Seems that these days, modern rotors arent built with extra material on them like they use to be. Couple of factors I think: 1. Weight savings (however minimal) 2. I do know when that top bleeder breaks you get an amazing fountain of hot colorful antifreeze spraying everywhere. *Did you engage the rear heating as well. get both of them going. -

I thought about all of the ideas above, but with the way the o-ring sits you would need to make a custom piece. Needless to say, I have that brand new assembly minus the bleeder screw because they dont sell it seperately.
